I’m really excited to be a new stockist in this lovely shop in Ashbourne! Handmade Design is situated in Victoria Square in this pretty market town in the Derbyshire Dales. It’s recently been taken over by Laura who is keen to support & encourage local artists and designers by providing attractive shop space in which to display and sell their work.
I’m currently stocking my Gemstone Jewellery Collections, which feature gorgeous semi precious stones and Czech glass crystal beads on various colour chains. My favourite stone is Blue Goldstone – its midnight blue colour with subtle sparkly stars is absolutely beautiful! I think it pairs really nicely with a peacock blue crystal. I designed these with 1920s glamour in mind, as it’s a style I love and one I think suits the rich tapestry of colours worn during autumn and winter.
As well as the more delicate pieces I also have some bolder pieces available where the pendant makes a dramatic statement! These pieces are fabulous worn over loose layered knits in winter. There are a couple of lengths available to go with different necklines – 18″ & 32″.
I feel so lucky being able to feed my magpie habit by buying all my favourite stones to make these beauties with. Most of them are agate or jasper and each stones’ colours and markings are just luscious! They’re very tactile too 🙂
I’m looking forward to getting started on new jewellery ranges later this week – woo hoo!
